2012 Dinner Dance Information

Dear Crew Families,

The Grosse Ile Rowing Club is sponsoring our annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, March 31st, 2012, at the Ford Yacht Club. This fundraiser will include a live and silent auction, dinner and dancing. The theme this year is “Rowing Around the World”. We need your participation and support to host a successful event. Please invite friends, neighbors, and relatives. Mark your calendar! Invitations to the event will be mailed by the end of February.

This is our major fundraiser! Donated items are needed for the live and silent auctions. Here are a few suggestions: items to make up theme baskets and grab bags, gift certificates, sports tickets (Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, Lions as well as college events), concert and play tickets, restaurant gift cards, services, craft items, jewelry, golf outings, big ticket items or anything else that may be auctioned and as always cash is acceptable. Please solicit any contacts you may have. A copy of our 2012 Fundraiser Letter is available here. We are a 501(c)3 organization, therefore all donations are tax deductible.
If you have any questions, please contact Janice Tata or Mary Ann Sitek at the numbers and e-mails below. Please notify Janice or Mary Ann of any contacts you make so we do not duplicate solicitation. Auction items may be delivered to Janice Tata, 7844 Grosse Ile Parkway.

We are depending on your support to make the evening a success! If you'd like to get involved with the planning and coordination for the event following are the scheduled dates we'll be meeting at the Scott house - 7:00 pm. A reminder note will be sent prior to each meeting. Feel free to stop in and participate or drop off any auction/basket items:

GI Rowing Club Accepts Donations

Do you have a car, boat, vacation home, airplane, stock portfolio, or other item - large or small - that you're tired of looking at?

If so, please consider donating it to GI Rowing - we are an IRS-recognized501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We accept donations of all types, whether it can be used directly in the rowing program or sold to raise funds.

Video Marketing Productions

VIDEO MARKETING PRODUCTIONS will transfer your video tapes (VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi-8...) to DVD for the cost identified below and will donate all proceeds to Grosse Ile Rowing Club. The DVD will be complete with a title label printed directly on the DVD media and will be placed in a jewel case with an appealing cover insert with title.

One two-hour video will be transferred for $25 or 6 two-hour videos will be transferred for $125.
